About Me:
Throughout my undergraduate experience, I have had the opportunity to work, intern and volunteer with diverse organizations from the journalism and non-profit fields.
As a reporter and editor with my campus newspaper, the Auburn Plainsman, I developed the skills of hyper-local journalism, which led to a job as a Collegiate Correspondent with USA Today College. In this position, I was able to cover stories of national importance from a college angle.

In addition to my experience in journalism, I have also had equal public relations experience. With my work as a media relations assistant at Amnesty International USA, I learned the ins and outs of public outreach for a major NGO. This reinforced my time as a communications intern with the American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee and the Miller Writing Center at Auburn University.
I also have experience in campaign and grassroots organizing as an intern with the Tennessee Democratic Party.

Regardless of the position, I have striven to use the written and spoken word as a tool for changing perspectives through the truth, whether it was breaking news with a newspaper or reaching out to reporters ahead of an Amnesty International event. I hope to continue this mission in my future work.
